Make a comic
Six panels, a script from your own story, pictures drawn by you, and a line saying who made what.
What you are making
A six-panel comic on paper, drawn by you, with a credits line at the bottom that says who did which part.
Your story first
Maya thinks up the story away from the computer: a cat who is scared of rain and does something about it. Beginning, middle, end, out loud to Karim in three sentences. That is the part Claude cannot do for her, because it is her idea.
The script
Then Claude turns those three sentences into six panels. Panel by panel: what you see, one line of speech. Maya reads it and throws out the panels that are not funny. Asking for three versions of one panel is normal, and picking is the job.
The drawing
The pictures are drawn by hand, by Maya, with Karim doing the coloring if he asks nicely. Under the last panel she writes: story by Maya, panels laid out with Claude, drawings by Maya. That line matters. Anyone reading it knows exactly what came from where, and you never have to explain it later.
Try this
I am 11 and my dad is next to me. Here is my story in three sentences: [your three sentences]. Turn it into six comic panels. For each panel tell me what I would see and one line of speech, under twenty words a panel. Do not add new characters.
Panel four is boring. Give me three different versions of panel four only, and keep the other five exactly as they are.
