Claude Design: decks and one-pagers
Outline in, deck out. Keep the brand kit in a Project, edit by talking, export to PowerPoint and PDF, and know where Figma has to take over.
What Claude Design does for a studio deck
Claude Design builds a real designed document from a conversation. Yara gives it an outline and a brand kit and gets back a deck she can look at, then changes it by saying what is wrong. Decks, one-pagers and landing-page mockups are the three shapes it is good at. When it is right, she exports to PowerPoint for the client's own team or to PDF for approval.
The change is not that the deck appears. It is that the first version appears before she has decided anything, which means the argument with herself happens on screen instead of in her head at eleven at night.
The brand kit lives in a Project
One Project per client, named for the client. The brand guide, the logo files and the last approved deck go in as Project files. The instructions carry the rules that a guide states badly. Yara's look like this:
You are working on decks and one-pagers for Harlow Foods.
Type: Söhne for headlines, Söhne for body. Headlines sentence case, never
all caps. Body never below 16 point in a deck.
Colour: ink #101820, bone #F4F1EA, one accent, moss #2F5D3A. The accent
appears once per slide at most. No gradients. No drop shadows.
Layout: one idea per slide. A headline states the idea as a sentence, not
a label. Maximum five lines of body per slide. Charts get one takeaway
line above them. Section dividers are full bleed image frames, left empty
with a caption of what belongs there.
Voice: plain, specific, no marketing adjectives. Numbers in figures.
Never: clip art, stock business photography, three column feature grids,
the words premium, bespoke or artisan.
When something is unclear, ask before you invent it.
That block is why the fourth deck for this client takes twenty minutes.
Try this
Build a fourteen slide new business deck from the outline below, using the brand kit in this Project. One idea per slide. Every headline states the idea as a full sentence. Maximum five lines of body per slide. Section dividers are empty full bleed image frames with a caption saying what image belongs there. Where you need a number I have not given you, leave a visible placeholder rather than inventing one.
Slide 6 is too dense and slide 9 says nothing. Cut slide 6 to five lines and move its detail into speaker notes. Replace slide 9 with a single statement slide carrying the one sentence the client needs to remember. Then show me the deck again and list what you changed.
Turn the same content into a one-page leave behind, portrait, same brand kit. Three sections: what we heard, what we propose, what happens next. It has to be readable printed in black and white, so do not carry the accent colour any information.
Where Claude Design stops
It stops at craft. Bespoke type setting, kerned wordmarks, illustration, motion, anything that has to be pixel exact, and the master file the studio keeps. Those go to Figma or Illustrator. The honest split is that Claude Design produces the structure, the copy and a defensible first look. Yara's hands do the last ten percent, which is the part the client is paying her for.
